Leadership Patricia Watters and Mason Snyder are recognized leaders in the investment industry, and each has a distinguished history of providing professional services to both investors and advisors of institutional assets. Patricia Watters, Ph.D., Co-Founder & Partner  | From 2002 to 2008, Patricia served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company, a fund of hedge funds investment advisor in Irvine, California. In her roles, Patricia was responsible for all middle- and back-office operations including client accounting, financial audits and development, and oversight of the operational due diligence program. She also led the firm’s compliance department, which was responsible for internal and regulatory compliance, as well as managed relationships with external legal counsel. Patricia’s previous employer was the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. Patricia holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Financial Economics from University of California, Riverside. She earned a B.A. and M.A. in Economics from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. |
Mason Snyder, Co-Founder & Partner  | From 2000 to 2009, Mason served as Senior Manager and then Director at Deloitte & Touche LLP. There, he led Investment Management Operations & Technology for the firm’s Regulatory & Capital Markets Consulting practice on the West Coast. His responsibilities included management of Los Angeles- and San Francisco-based resources, development of new business and oversight of ongoing engagements. Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Mason worked for Deloitte in its New York office. His previous employers were Ernst & Young LLP and U.S. Trust Company (now owned by Bank of America). Mason holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the Graduate School of Business at Fordham University in New York City. He earned an A.B. in History from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. |
Associates Catalina Partners has a network of team resources with deep subject matter expertise and investment industry knowledge. They work as independent contractors to Catalina Partners for specific assignments based on client needs and corresponding skill sets. Benn Dunn Benn specializes in front office risk analytics for multi-strategy hedge fund managers, institutional investors, and prime brokers. He assists clients with the development of proprietary risk and market models. Ben was class valedictorian and Phi Beta Kappa at Trinity College, earning a B.A. in Cognitive Science. He subsequently studied at Brown University under a fellowship award. David Goldsobel David is an expert in designing and building networked infrastructures for hedge fund firms. He specializes in leveraging Microsoft Office tools for automated interfaces and data warehouses. David focused on Geographic Information Systems during his graduate studies at California State University, Northridge. He earned a B.S. degree from University of San Francisco.
Chanson Ho, CPA Chanson is an accounting professional with nine years of experience serving hedge funds, funds of hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital funds. Prior to joining Catalina Partners, he spent his career at Deloitte & Touche. Chanson earned an M.B.A. in Accounting at University of Southern California and a B.A. in Economics from University of California, Berkeley.
Wayne Kalayjian, PE, CFE Wayne is a specialist in finance, accounting and compliance for residential and commercial real estate projects. Prior to working with Catalina Partners, Wayne was a Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Subsequently, he was a Vice President with Strategy LLC, a global construction management firm. Wayne holds an M.S. in Engineering from Stanford, an M.S. in Business Management from MIT, and a B.S. in Engineering from Tufts. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Richard Libby, Ph.D. Richard specializes in risk and risk capital assessments through the use of advanced statistical modeling techniques, with emphasis on market, credit, counterparty credit, liquidity and operational risk management. Prior to founding his own firm, Perihelion Capital Advisors, LLC, he was the Chief Credit Officer at Barclays Global Investors. There he focused on counterparty credit and risk capital analysis and risk management. With 19 years financial institutions experience, Richard holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from University of California, Santa Cruz.
Seth Wheatley, CFA, CPA Seth is an accounting professional with ten years of experience serving hedge funds, private equity funds and family offices. Prior to working with Catalina Partners, Seth was with Capricorn Investments. Seth earned a degree in Economics at University of California, Los Angeles, and was named to the Dean’s List.
